The Prize

The selection committee will choose one overall winner from a list of shortlisted titles. The winner will be presented with the Goodest Prize, an object of symbolic and cultural worth (only) which will be chosen and/or crafted by the selection committee.


Eligibility

Eligible submissions must be:

  • published by a traditional publisher or self-published
  • written in English
  • published in the calendar year 2017*
  • a work of any genre
  • about a dog
  • dog must remain alive throughout entirety of literary work

*The selection committee recognises that Goodest qualities are timeless. For the inaugural round of The Goodest Prize, titles published prior to 2017 will also be considered.

How to Enter

The Goodest selection committee prefer eBook submissions where possible. Send a copy of or link to the eBook, along with a cover letter with the name and contact details of the author and nominator, to thegoodestprize@gmail.com
